AGE IS IRRELEVANT

It is never too late to begin! Don’t let age or circumstances of life deceive anyone into believing that is too late to begin. There is no magic age at which excellence emerges or when quality surfaces.

You are old when you stop learning either at 20 or 80 years old says one of the wise men. Let look at it from these two angles;

First, we think we are too young to be an Hero or make impact. Consider the following;
Alexander the great, at 32years in 323 B.C.E he conquered kings and made Greece the fifth World power. Gen. Yakubu Gowon was 30 years and unmarried when he became the Military Head of State in Nigeria. Charles Dickens was 25 years when he wrote his famous book Oliver Twist. Sir Isaac Newton was 24years when he formulated Law of gravity.

Second, we sometime think that creativity and invention belongs to the young, check this out; the patriarch Abraham ministry started at the age of ninety. Michelangelo painted his masterpiece between the ages of 71-89.

Ever heard of the eighteen/forty/sixty rule? When you are eighteen, you worry about what everybody’s thinking about you. When you are forty, you realize that it doesn’t really matter what they think about you. When you are sixty, it dawns on you that most of them weren’t thinking about you at all.

In most cases age don’t necessarily make us better, often it makes us rigid in our approach to life.

FAILURE IS NOT FINAL

I wonder if you are like me! I have failed in many things, in many ways, so many times.

Even when you fail, it is not over. Failure is not a person, it is an event. Failure is not suppose to make your bitter but better. As we all know that no condition is permanent therefore failure is not a permanent situation.

John Mason said “if you fall pick something up”. The issue is not whether you will fail, because you will. The issue is what you do when you fail.  Failure can either mark the beginning of your rising or destruction.

A lot of great people being talked about today, failed several times but never give up. They kept standing up after every fall and know they are standing tall.  Michelangelo failed many times before painting his masterpiece between the ages of 71-89. Abraham Lincoln failed so many times, am sure you know his story, yet became the 16thPresident of USA.

Have you failed so much you lost everything? Sorry, but that is the perfects place to start. You don’t begin to live until you have lost everything.
Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from moving out of your comfort zone, because the earlier you test the waters the better for your destiny.

Failure is an opportunity to do it better next time, it is a stepping stone to your greatest. He who fears to fail, has already fail. W. Clement said “Failure is experienced by those who, when they experience defeat, stop trying to find something more”.

Remember you don’t drown by falling inside water, you drown by staying there.  Stop beating yourself up over your failures, opportunities far greater than those you have lost lies ahead of you.

GET RID OF FEAR

The world is a narrow bridge. The important thing is to have no fear’ Hasidac Master

Rabbi Nachman. As we walk down life’s path, there are challenges to be faced

up with everyday, they either make or break, you either overcome or be overcome. The

difference between those who win and those who don’t is there attitude towards

fear.

Fear makes threat/problem bigger than it really is. Be sure when

making any decision in the face of intimidation, it is not driven by

fear. Don’t let fear dictate your direction, because a fear driven

decision, will only lead in the wrong direction.

To accomplish any goal, first overcome the biggest enemy –Fear. Anytime there is

something great to achieve the fear of failure stares us in the face. To experience a

miracle, face your fears and the sky will be a stepping stone to greater height.

You will never know the success of an idea if you let the fear of making a mistake

paralyze you. As this year counts down, don’t stay in that familiar place/comfort zone

rather face challenges, dare the impossible, move forward.

Bishop Oyedepo said “In every man’s promise land there are giants”.The giants

are obstacles that need to be overcome for destiny to be fulfilled.  We cannot overcome

obstacle if fear causes us not to take action in time when action is

vital.

Whether individually or corporately, face your fear and it will give

way to greatness.

11 Thoughts on life

1.Each moment of life is a miracle; good times, bad times, hard choices, costly mistakes, lost opportunities, wonderful times. Never regret your past, rather embrace it as the teacher that it is. Always remember that what lies behind you and what lies ahead of you is nothing when compared to what lies within you.

2. The rich invest their money and spend what’s left, while the poor spend their money and invest what’s left.

3.Successful people think about what they want and most times get it. Unsuccessful people think about what they don’t want but they get more of it. You want to be happy and successful, think about success and happiness always.

4. We are poor, not because of God.

5. Don’t blame the world for what you are now. All that a man becomes or fails to become is the direct result of his thought. Aspire to be better, and you will become or achieve, that which you desire. Remember Gen 11:6b. ‘And nothing that they propose to do will be impossible for them.’

6. Thinking about good things helps us to be grateful, remaining grateful helps us to have a positive attitude. Having a positive attitude helps us think about good, which in most cases will manifest.

7. Reading does not make wise, it only informs whereas reasoning enlightens you and makes wise. The final test of any learning is always application.

8. Your condition is an act of the enemy, your portion is an act of God. Don’t settle with your condition; rather reach out for your portion.

9. Change is inevitable, the only constant thing in life. Remember your world will change whether you like it or not but you have the power to choose its direction.

10. Inspirational books are like friends or family who guide you in your dark period, and moral strength and a positive energy that gives hope during bad times.
